Easter 3 Sunday 19th April, 2015

Collect:

Almighty Father, who in your great mercy gladdened the disciples with the sight of the risen Lord: give us such knowledge of his presence with us, that we may be strengthened and sustained by his risen life and serve you continually in righteousness and truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

First Reading:    Acts 3.12-19

Gospel:                  Luke 24.36-48

Closing Prayer

Living God, your Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: open the eyes of our faith, that we may see him in all his redeeming work; who is alive and reigns, now and for ever.

Thank you!

Thank you to all who helped give Colin and Jane a wonderful send-off! It meant so much to them!

They loved their gifts, which were flowers, a lovely photo album of their time at St Mary’s, a useful and needed tablet and cheque.

Saturday Coffee Morning Volunteers

We now have three successful coffee mornings each week.  Saturday morning could use more volunteers to serve coffee or bake cakes.

If you would like to help with either please see Caroline.

Food Bank Volunteers

We need volunteers to distribute food parcels Monday, Tuesday and/or Saturday mornings.  Training will be provided. Please speak with Julie if you are interested.

Church Cleaning Rota – Please sign up!

There is a new Church cleaning rota at the back table.  It would be greatly appreciated f you would like to take part in this very important ministry.  We especially need volunteers to empty the recycling and rubbish bins each week.

Magazine Editor needed!  After 8 years of dedicated service, Ken is retiring as editor of our magazine.  If you think you might be interested in this position please speak with Lesley, Alison or Julie.

A ‘job-share’ is a possibility and training will be provided.
